Papa’s Dream: Can Dreams Show A Glimpse of Heaven?

This happened midnight of November 3, 2014 between 12:00AM and 1:00AM.

Last night, I told about Mama testimonies of people going to Heaven. I also told her the summary of “Heaven is for Real” the movie, boy Colton who met Jesus in heaven and Akiane’s story that at the age of 8 she painted the picture of Jesus that is confirmed by Colton.

I told Mama I met Connie SweeConnie Swee and Oliver Tham at the sunday service earlier, they were awesome. Then I showed her Connie Swee’s interview with Dr Rodney Howard Browne in youtube back in 2011, where she testifies going to heaven. Mama asked, because she was wondering what does heaven looked like? Well they said it’s like what it is on earth, the place is so beautiful and it is so peaceful because of the presence of God.

As Mama and I talked, we are interrupted by Papa calling Mama to get inside the bedroom, he was shouting and was  having a leg cramps. So after it, Mama went back to me to hear these stories and Papa followed her. Papa does not have any idea what Mama and I were talking before he walked in… Then I stopped talking because Papa was interrupting again… But it caught my attention when he said he had a very nice a dream, that he went to a very beautiful island.

I asked him to go back to his room and tell me more about it. Here’s what he tells  me:

“In my dream I was in a beautiful island, it was so peaceful and all people are nice. I like them, they are honest.”

I asked how did he know that the people there are honest? He said:

“Because when I asked them if they have seen my money, they told me that they did not stole anything from me and the money that I’m looking for is on my left sleeve. So when I checked my sleeve it is there.”

So I asked what else did he saw…

“There was a boat that pick passengers, so I ride the boat because I wanted to go there. But the boat was shaky as we cross the water. We stop over to islands that we pass through to pick up some more passengers. The boat driver was a lady and she’s shouting to passengers to get on and I told her she was so good that she can drive a boat. The boat was so shaky… So we reached the beautiful island there’s so many people, it is so beautiful and I really love it there, they are nice and the atmosphere is peaceful and there’s no plastic people.”

I asked how was the weather, if it’s cold? he said:

“It’s not cold and not warm either… Just right. I saw a big tower it was really bright that looks like INC’s church and it looks blue, but no one comes there. People are just walking around it. I saw people playing softball…”

I asked again, if there was billiards or gambling on that place? He said…

“People there don’t gamble. There’s only one game, softball… They even asked me to play but I said no because they might lose from me coz’ I’m so good. Then I told them I’m going back home to my wife and daughter but I promised them that I will come back, I wanted to go back there because the place is so beautiful and then I ride the boat. I remember I ride the boat twice to go back home, but when I wanted to go back to the island I can’t. Then my leg cramps, I woke up. I didn’t know I slept for too long…”

I asked, “Does people there have a face? Are they tall? Was the dream blurry or clear?” Papa said:

“They have a face like you were in a crowd, they look like us . They are not tall, just like us and it was clear. I am curious about the bright tower that’s in the middle.”

I said: “Didn’t you went to heaven?” he replied: “I don’t know, but the place was so beautiful (gustong-gusto ko don’).”

I told Papa that for me his dream was a representation of his walk with Jesus. “The Boat” was Jesus, “it was shaky when they cross the water” I think it illustrates his faith, “the lady boat driver” I just realized that maybe it was Me and Mama, “other passengers” are the believers of Jesus Christ, “the light tower” must be the throne of God, “left sleeve full of money” was Papa’s left brachial fistula… I asked him if his fistula was there, he said “I don’t have a fistula, I didn’t see it but my money was in my left sleeve”. Well, most of our money go to that left arm, Papa is having dialysis twice a week. Maybe if that’s heaven? We can cash out money from his arm like ATM he he, also isn’t it rare to have a pocket on a sleeve? Papa seem to be smiling while he was telling us his dream. You know what’s good? My realization from his dream that even Papa went to a beautiful place like that he chose not to stay there and come back to us even if it’s a very nice place to live in and so much beauty.

Heaven or Not? I don’t know, but it’s pretty obvious that’s not hell.

Revelation 22:3-7 (NIV)
3 No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. 4 They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. 5 There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever. 6 The angel said to me, “These words are trustworthy and true. The Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, sent his angel to show his servants the things that must soon take place.”
Jesus Is Coming
7 “Behold, I am coming soon! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy in this book.”

It could be a glimpse to heaven or plainly a dream… But I’m happy to be told about this, I was dealing the past week if Papa will be going with us to Heaven he is grumpy all the time, or what if they go to heaven and I will be left here? (so much lies satan) Well, this dream is a confirmation that Jesus is taking Papa to his boat, he will be saved. Papa got angry with me when I told him he has unbelief that’s why the boat was shaky, he insisted that he believes and put his faith on Jesus. Mama and I were happy to hear that and then we laughed. I am confident Papa is saved.

Bro. Oliver Tham on yesterday’s sunday service preached about salvation. The simple steps to salvation are :

  1.  John 3:16 (NIV)
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life
  2.  Luke 4:41 (NKJV)
41 And demons also came out of many, crying out and saying, “You are the Christ,[a] the Son of God!” And He, rebuking them, did not allow them to speak, for they knew that He was the Christ.
  3. Romans 10:9-10 (NKJV)
9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

In Genesis, God created everything by his mouth… If you Confess in your mouth that Jesus is Lord and you Believe, you will be saved. That’s the key to salvation, it  is our contract to God and the shedding of blood at the cross was His offer for our salvation.
